a BAKERY WITH A SOCIAL MISSION

Did you know that approximately 10,000 young adults leave foster care each year in the UK? Leaving care, these vulnerable young adults face an increased chance of homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, and difficulties accessing further education and training.

The average Londoner spends approximately £7 a day on coffee and baked goods (that's over £1900 a year!). What if you knew the money you were spending at cafes was actually going towards working with these vulnerable young adults and equipping them with the skills necessary for them to excel in life?

Our goal is to open WanderLost, a kitchen and bakery which will partner with Oh Gee, Pie! and the community in creating a program which will work with care leavers to provide mentor-ship led employability training founded in the therapeutic art of baking and cafe management, while at the same time creating a community for these young people to belong.

Be on the lookout for ways that you can help our dream become a reality.
